Description

Extra Finish ready-to-use filler is a top-quality compound designed for finishing joints between plasterboard panels and other mineral substrates to achieve perfectly smooth and even surfaces indoors. It is characterised by excellent adhesion and high efficiency. The paste consistency allows for easy application on vertical and horizontal surfaces. The compound can be applied both manually and mechanically in layers up to 3 mm thick. It is easy to sand and process for up to five days after drying. After five days, it reaches full hardness, which makes it resistant to damage during use. It meets the requirements of EN 13963:2005 AC2006.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate should be dry and in sound condition and free grease of dirt, dust and loose particles. Prior to the compound application, low-adhesion substrates (e.g., oil paints) should be sanded dull, e.g., with sandpaper, and then cleaned of dust and loose particles.

Absorbent or unstable substrates should be reinforced with a deep penetration primer.

COMPOUND PREPARATION

Before laying on the compound, gently mix it manually or with a low-speed mixer. In the case of mechanical application, the compound can be slightly thinned by adding clean water in portions not greater than 250 ml, until reaching the required consistence. Mix the compound after adding water. Use clean tools for the application.

COMPOUND APPLICATION

The compound can be laid on manually or mechanically. The maximum compound thickness laid on in one layer may not exceed 3 mm.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Use the compound at air and substrate temperatures of at least +10°C. Store in a closed packaging at +1°C to +35°C without exposing the product to freezing or sunlight. After short-term freezing, unfreeze the product at room temperature.
  • The compound drying time depends on the room temperature and humidity (it takes usually up to 12 hours).
  • The shelf life is 12 months.
