SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate should be dry, stable and in sound condition and free of dust, loose particles, grease and other agents reducing adhesion.

Dull permanent or impermeable to water paint coatings, remove coatings not resistant to water.

The substrate on which Norgips Betogrunt is to be applied should be properly seasoned and its moisture content must not exceed 3%.

PRIMER PREPARATION

Before starting work, mix the contents of the package thoroughly.

The Norgips Betogrunt primer may not be diluted or mixed with other materials.

PRIMING

When applying the primer, the substrate and the room air temperature must not be lower than +5°C and higher than +30°C.

Apply the primer to the substrate with a roller or a brush. During application, remember to mix the primer frequently to maintain its homogeneous consistency and to prevent sand settling at the bottom of the package. Wash the tools with water immediately after completion of work. A dried-up primer can be removed with a synthetic resin solvent or a dispersion paint remover.

The drying time of the Norgips Betogrunt primer depends on the substrate absorption rate, temperature and relative air humidity in the room, but is not less than 12 hours. Room ventilation shortens the primer drying time, but the minimum air temperature outside the room must not be lower than +5°C.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Store the buckets at a temperature not lower than +5°C and protect them against direct sunlight and high temperatures.
  • The shelf life is 12 months from the production date.
