SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate should be dry, sound, and free of grease, dirt, dust and loose particles. If highly absorbent or unsound, stabilize the substrate with a deeply penetrating primer, e.g. Knauf Universalgrund.
COMPOUND PREPARATION
Stir the compound lightly by hand or with a low-speed mixer before application. If applying using a power tool, the compound can be thinned a bit by adding some clean water. Stir the compound after adding water. Use clean tools.
COMPOUND APPLICATION
The compound can be applied both by hand using a trowel or smoothing roller or with power tools. The maximum single coat thickness must not exceed 3 mm.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Install the Norgips drywall cladding after in-situ construction has been completed and the location has been ventilated or dried to reduce the airborne humidity.
Install the drywall panels and point their joints at an air temperature above +5°C and below 70% RH.
